Cheating During Testing Gadgets and Equipment Guide
Learn the verified roles of gadgets, the phone, the pencil, and loadout upgrades in Cheating During Testing without relying on stale prices.
What the official page confirms
Cheating During Testing lets players spend Credits on cheating gadgets and equipment to improve their chances. The official description also calls the resulting setup a loadout, so equipment is part of long-term progression rather than a one-round collectible.
The official page does not provide a complete item list, tier list, prices, or unlock levels. Because the experience is in Beta, this guide treats the current shop interface as authoritative for those details.
Phone: information at a risk
Two public walkthroughs show the phone as the main answer-checking tool. The observed sequence is to capture the test paper, then use the phone to view information. The risky part is not merely holding a device; it is performing the exposed action while the teacher can see it.
That makes the phone a timing tool. A faster or upgraded version may feel more forgiving in the build shown by the videos, but no permanent speed, cost, or maximum level is claimed here. Check the live shop before spending Credits.
Pencil: return to a safe state
The same walkthroughs show players returning to the paper and holding the pencil while Anxiety drops. In practice, the pencil is the reset side of the loop: use a brief opportunity, then look normal and recover instead of forcing a second action.
If a later update changes the animation or control, follow the current Anxiety indicator rather than this wording.
How to choose a loadout
Do not start with an unsupported “best gadget” ranking. Choose around the part of the loop that causes your failed runs:
| Problem | Loadout question |
|---|---|
| Answer-checking takes too long | Does the current phone upgrade reduce the exposed time in your live build? |
| Anxiety stays high | Are you returning to the paper and using the current recovery tool correctly? |
| You act at the wrong moment | Practice teacher awareness before spending more Credits. |
| Friends create extra movement | Use a simpler plan and clear callouts rather than copying every nearby player. |
The table is a decision aid, not an official item-stat table.
Upgrade only after checking the current shop
Videos can establish that upgrade interactions exist, but prices and requirements are time-sensitive facts. Before buying:
- read the item’s live description;
- compare the effect with the problem you are solving;
- keep enough attention on the basic teacher pattern;
- test one change at a time so you can tell whether it helped.
